Salmon Coast is a non-profit conservation organization and a hub for coastal research in the southern Great Bear Rainforest of coastal British Columbia.  Located in Kwikwasut’inuxw Haxwa’mis territory, we can be found deep in the Broughton Archipelago, near Echo Bay.

Salmon Coast supports innovative research, public education, community outreach, and ecosystem awareness to achieve lasting conservation measures for the lands and waters of the southern Great Bear Rainforest.

Our mission:

  • To provide access to the southern Great Bear Rainforest to help researchers understand and restore ecosystems of coastal British Columbia;
  • To educate students, visitors, volunteers, tourists, community members and the general public about our research and the ecosystems we are working to conserve and restore;
  • To exemplify sustainable living within these ecosystems and communities.
